From March 14th to 23rd 2014

On March 14th of this year the lights of the Blues will dress the city of Beauvais for a 19th edition of the festival Le Blues Autour du Zinc. Every year, we travel to be able to propose you artists whom we had listened to previously, rather on the spot, to carry the music which we like closer to all. Indeed, our bias always was to trust only our own ears, without ever giving in to the modes. This year, we selected 50 representative concerts of the musical currents of the Blues with about 200 musicians who will demonstrate that beyond preconceived ideas, the opposition between traditions, modernity and generations, flies into pieces.

At first, in the opening concert on March 14th at l'Ouvre-Boîte, you will find the talented Eric Bibb, this troubadour who gives a second breath to the blues. In this concert of exception, there also will be Guy Davis and Leyla McCalla, not to miss. The next day, in the Maladrerie, places it guest star Sansévérino and Mr Bo Weavil.

Faithful to our tradition of the "Blues au feminin ", Melissa Laveaux and "This Is The Kit" will illuminate our evening while on Thursday, March 20th Robin McKelle and The Flytones will give us a beautiful overview of her new album recorded in Memphis.

In the course of the ten bars in the city transformed into blues scenes, you will vibrate in the sounds of the blues notes in an atmosphere of laughter and beautiful musical feelings.

Do not forget the week end After-parties in the Maladrerie Saint-Lazare from 00:30 am with St.Lô, electro group, the Jim Jones Revue, Jeff Lang and in closure on Sunday, March 23rd, still in the Maladrerie, Anthony Joseph and the Blues Malian group of the desert, Terakaft.

To note this year, a records fair and a barter of musical instruments on Sunday, March 16th.

And as always around the concerts, the musical actions, sources of meetings, makes resound the richness and the diversity of the program in high schools, retirement homes without forgetting prisons, offering to all, young and less young, multiples opportunities of discovery, participation and collaboration with the programmed artists.
